Raymond Terrace Project

Client: Hunter Water Corporation

This project involved the construction of 483m of DN200, 9m of DN300 and 285m of DN375 rising mains at Raymond Terrace including a part of the works within the Muree Golf Course, part within public reserve and a crossing of the Grahamstown Drain.

The Raymond Terrace 4 WWPS is to be upgraded in the future with larger capacity pumps and the upgrade of the rising mains was necessary to cope with the additional flows. Also, the section of the existing rising main within a low lying area was identified as prone to failure and it was decided to replace this main to reduce the risk of failure.

During the project a large area of heavily water charged ground was encountered and extensive de-watering was required.

Final restoration involved the repair of the Muree Golf Course area to the satisfaction of the clubs greenkeeper.
