This project involved the upgrade of a pumping station in Redhead and 1.7 km of new rising mains between the Redhead Pumping Station and the Windale Pumping Station.
The Redhead Pumping Station was upgraded from a wet well/ dry well clover-leaf station to a wet well submersible station to increase the capacity of the station. An additional Emergency Storage Structure was installed. Demolition of the above ground portion of the pumping station improved the aesthetics of the local area.
The project also involved an under-bore of approximately 250m length through a designated SEPP14 Wetland at Jewells Swamp. Expert advice was provided by Trenchless Advisor Pty Ltd (www.trenchlessadvisor.com.au) and the boring was completed by Zafco Drilling and Construction.
